In order to exhibit at the Vero Beach Book Festival you must either sell books, book related products, or promote a literacy oriented program. You must either be a bookseller, publisher, or a non-for-profit organization focused on literacy or educational issues. The Vero Beach Book Festival reserves the right to refuse any participation by any company or organization at its sole discretion.

This agreement is entered into this day (8/21/2008) by and between the Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation, Inc. (hereinafter called Book Festival) and (hereinafter called exhibitor).

The parties agree as follows:

  1. Rental Fee: In order to ensure a reservation of space for Exhibitor, this agreement, signed by exhibitor, must be returned with the booth fee (booth fee is calculated on next page) to the Vero Beach Book Festival, P.O. Box 6728, Vero Beach FL 32961. Deadline for reservation is October 17, 2008. Booth fee includes a 10’ x 10’ tent (top and back flap), an 8’ table with table cover, and 2 chairs.
  2. Booth Set Up and Take Down: Exhibitor agrees to deliver and display, at its own risk, merchandise in the area designated by the Book Festival and between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:30 am, Saturday morning, November 22, 2008. Exhibitor agrees to take down, at its own risk, merchandise remaining between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm Saturday, November 22, 2008. Booth location will be assigned at check-in on Saturday morning. No on-site construction is allowed.
  3. Hours of Operation: Exhibitor agrees to staff booth during the hours of operation of the Marketplace, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
  4. Insurance: If you carry business insurance, please attach a copy of the liability coverage section to this Agreement. If you do not carry business insurance, please sign below and have anyone coming with you to assist do the same.
  5. Cancellation: Cancellations received after October 30, 2008, will forfeit their booth fee.

The Waiver

As a participant in the Vero Beach Book Festival on November 21-22, 2008, I hold harmless The Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation, The Vero Beach Book Festival Executive Committee, The City of Vero Beach, The Courthouse Executive Center, The Community Center, The Heritage Center, The Women’s Center, The Theater Plaza, McKee Botanical Gardens, Vero Beach Museum of Art, Indian River Community College, and The Indian River County Board of Education and their staffs for any liability that may occur during the entire days of November 21-22, 2008. I agree to allow the reproduction of any photos taken of myself in the Festival to be used for current and future publicity purposes.

I/We have read and agree to abide by the Book Festival Exhibitor Agreement and its Rules of Operation.
